Joshua Miller, PhD
Joshua Miller joins Open City Advocates from Georgetown University, where he taught Philosophy and worked with the Prisons and Justice Initiative creating reentry and college prison programs. Among the programs he helped build: the Georgetown Pivot Program, the MORCA-Georgetown Paralegal Program, the Scholars Program at the DC Jail, Bachelor of Liberal Arts at the Patuxuent Institution, the University of Baltimore’s Second Chance College Program, and the Prison Scholars Program at the Jessup Correctional Institution.
He has twenty years of teaching experience and is a passionate advocate for decarceration. Joshua earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Pennsylvania State University and his B.A. from Bard College.
