Stephen Harburg

 
 

Stephen Harburg has been an Open City Advocates board member since 2011, serving as board chair from 2015 to 2021. As a partner in the D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, he specialized in multidistrict litigation before retiring in 2020. Before moving to Skadden, Steve was a partner in O’Melveny & Myers’ D.C. office. He has been on the list of Super Lawyers since 2013. Steve maintained an active pro bono practice throughout his career. Although retired from Skadden, he continues to head the firm’s Housing Team for the Skadden Impact Project, which provides pro bono legal services for D.C. families with children. He also serves on the board of the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Steve is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
